Namesakes: Lincoln Knoll Lane

It’s a teensy little passageway, more a driveway than a street, between Herb Chambers Honda and some office buildings, leading to nothing in particular, and attracting zero attention — yet it’s historical fodder.

Lincoln Knoll Lane is named for Lincoln Brogi, a South Bedford St. farmer who also sold interesting oddball collectibles from his retail barn on Cambridge St. right up through the early 1960s. Then a string of auto dealers occupied the former barn location, starting with Lincoln Knoll Auto Sales, then Campbell Pontiac, and now Herb Chambers.
