St. Mark's temporary church Burlington MA

It’s a hexagon. It’s pre-fab. It was trucked from Acton in pieces and snapped together in Burlington. It’s now functioning as Echo Enrichment Center, next to Temple Shalom Emeth in Burlington. But this photo may leave you scratching your head. It looks . . . different.

That’s because in 1960, when this grand opening shot was taken, the building was on St. Mark’s Episcopal Church property off Terrace Hall Ave. In fact, it WAS the church before the official church was built.

Some time in the mid 1970s, it was sold to the Temple, disassembled and re-assembled on Lexington Street.
