This barn, part of the Frothingham estate off Spruce Hill Rd., was destroyed by fire while functioning as part of a YWCA operation. The YWCA was about to destroy it anyway due to the high cost of restoration. The fire destroyed the water filtration equipment used for the adjacent pool, shutting down the operation for weeks.
