Oh yes I remember it so well. They have a bank in there now where the pie shop once stood. Every time I ride by that spot I have a moment of silence. I have not found another place yet in the Merrimack valley or Middlesex county areas that are similar.
Anyone know of a source for their pie recipes ?? There are still a couple, just the thoughts of which, still make my mouth water after all these decades … thanks in advance – JoAnne
Yes! Their banana cream pie was the best. The taste was out of this world and it sliced beautifully for serving. They didn’t need tons of whipped cream to top it. It was fantastic on it’s own. If you find their recipe please let me know.
If General Mills was really smart they would start opening Betty Crocker pie shop all over again at a larger scale. The restaurant we visited on a weekly basis located in Burlington, Massachusetts would be packed every time we would visit. I mean lines going out the door. I can remember the manager would stand there giving everyone the stare treatment to get customers to leave. I believe the restaurant ran under the Pie shop name not Betty Crocker the last few years it was there. My family and I really do miss this place in Burlington Massachusetts.

I worked there as a dishwasher when I was in high school. At Thanksgiving and Christmas we all got to take pies home.
My absolute favorite when I was a kid way way way back when was getting the grilled ham and cheese sandwich, it was so thick and mouthwatering.

My mom and I used to drive down from NH once in a while to eat here. One of my favorite restaurants as a kid and I think about it a lot.
