  2. The ghost of Mabel Keating was wandering the halls for sure…..whacking the knuckles of any former students who wound up in the holding cell……

  6. Burlington Basketball Leagues started in the parking lot hoops during recess with 5th Grade teacher Rick Norton, Vietnam Vet, playing with us ….. Recreation Leagues started and run under the supervision of Wes Arens

  7. I went to the Union school in the late fifty’s Earlie 60’s. When I look back there were a lot of great memories. I walked up Sear St from Forbes Ave. Mr. Murphy taught English. I remember my first boyfriends mother worked in the cafeteria. I always liked their smashed potato salad;
    it was always a little warm. I think it was supposed to be plain mashed lol. Anyways good luck with the new place and thanks for the memories.

  8. I went to Union for 5th grade then Center for 6th. That was Probably around 1969. I had a male teacher at Union that read to us every day. One book i remember well was Wild Bill Hickock. While he was reading we could hear mice in the closet. Great times !

  9. The BHS Class of ‘1975” was one of the last of the 6th grade classes to attend in 1969. That year was a huge snowstorm on a Monday. We were down stairs in the cafeteria for hrs, when the buses arrived early in the evening, my arrival home time was 8:30pm. It was a memorable event for sure! I loved Union School!
