  1. I worked at Sears as a teenager, my family also purchased lots of stuff from there! Wasn’t the Hojo’s where Chilli’s was located after it was gone?

  2. I worked At HoJo’s during summers while going to college in the hotel as a maid

  3. HoJo,s was my first job, I was hired as a dishwasher in September 1972 at $1.65 an hour! In the next year or so,8 or 10 of my friends from the old neighborhood worked there. Pretty good place to work management was okay , kept us busy in particular keeping the place clean. It was a known fact that Howard Johnson himself would stop by unannounced to do spot checks on his stores.Mr Johnson Sr passed away earlier in the year, but HowardJr was also prone to visit. With this in mind management world say “Make sure this place looks good Mr Johnson is going to stop in today!”We Made it cleaner than clean. Know what? We never did see Mr.Johnson.
