This looks like Stoneybrook Rd at the intersection with the Mall Rd. Before the Mall Road opened in 1968, Stoneybrook Road ran up the hill and intersected with South Bedford Street near the old Graham place, where the office park is now. When the Mall Road went through, the town blocked off Stoneybrrok with a pile of dirt to prevent too much traffic from going down Stoneybrook, which was a very narrow old road. As the picture shows, some people tried to go through anyway. It was a bit inconvenient for us, living on Michelle Drive, just off Stoneybrook at the bottom of the hill, but we made do. The town eventually made Stoneybrook a one way street, which it still is today.
